Client & Situation
At the safety-critical KONRAD 2 shaft site in Salzgitter, KNOKE Industrie-Montagen GmbH was commissioned to renovate a headframe during ongoing operations. The objective was the comprehensive renewal of the supporting structure and the replacement of several components without interrupting operational processes.
Project Requirements

Process
- Planning & Safety Clearances
Development of the renovation concept including structural analysis, obtaining permits, and organizing access solutions (aerial work platforms, scaffolding, crane logistics). - Setup & Logistics
Erection of multi-story scaffolding systems and precise coordination of lifting operations with mobile cranes. - Dismantling & Repair
Partial dismantling of the headframe structure, welding, and steel construction work in confined spaces and at height. - Quality Control & Acceptance
Continuous quality inspections by welding supervisors, acceptance by independent experts, and handover to the operator.
